• Students from cooperating universities (see Section II.1 of our Terms and Conditions for a complete list) who have signed up for a University Sports Center course in their capacity as students are covered by the Unfallkasse Berlin in the case of sports injuries that occur while participating in courses they are officially signed up for.

• University employees are covered by the Unfallkasse Berlin under certain conditions (see Section X of our Terms and Conditions).

• Participants in University Sports Center courses who do not belong to the groups named above are not covered by accident insurance.

The Unfallkasse Berlin does not provide accident insurance coverage for any injuries that occur during competitive sporting events and sports travel.

Nor does it provide accident insurance coverage for any sports injuries that occur in courses that are not run by the University Sports Center itself.

If you have been injured on the way to, while returning from, or while attending one of our courses and required medical attention, this incident must be reported to the Unfallkasse Berlin and the University Sports Center Management Office.

An accident insurance doctor must also be consulted.

If an accident takes place, the Unfallkasse Berlin is obligated to investigate and make a decision regarding the case.
