BOOKING AND REGISTRATION

It is generally not possible to drop out of a course that you have already signed up for. Special provisions apply in the event of illness (see Terms and Conditions Section IV.7).

However, it is possible to switch to another course (provided there are free spaces) within the first two weeks of the course beginning. The final decision is made by the University Sports Center.

Please fill out the following form and send it to info@hochschulsport.fu-berlin.de: Application for a change of registration

Short payments will be settled electronically. Excess payments will not be refunded. You will be charged an administrative fee of 5.00 euros if you decide to change courses.

If you are only ill for one session, simply skip the session and come back when you are able. You do not need to inform the University Sports Center or the course instructor that you are ill. If you miss the first session of the course, please read the course description to check whether the first session is mandatory (e.g., for orientation purposes) and if people may attend the course from the second session onwards. If this applies to you, please contact info@hochschulsport.fu-berlin.de for courses from the University Sports Center or wassersport@hochschulsport.fu-berlin.de for courses from the Aquatic Sports Center.

If you are prevented from attending the course for an extended period of time, you can cancel the course and have your course fee (proportionally) refunded upon presentation of a valid doctor’s note. Please contact info@hochschulsport.fu-berlin.de if this applies to you (taking into consideration Section IV.7 of our Terms and Conditions).

Once you have received registration confirmation for a course, your place in the course is reserved and does not expire, even if the course has started and you have not yet attended a session. However, the first sessions of some courses are mandatory, e.g., for orientation purposes. For more information, please refer to the individual regulations for the course in question. Generally, we recommend that you regularly attend courses that you have signed up for.

In theory, yes.  However, in some courses (e.g., in beginner courses where each session builds on knowledge gained in the previous session), this may not make much sense. If you are unsure, please contact the relevant UniSport team member for more information.

During the first two weeks of the sports program, you can drop in for a trial class without registering in advance. However, trial drop-ins are only possible if the class is not already at full capacity and if the specific course can accommodate drop-ins. It is up to the instructor to decide at the beginning of class if they have the capacity for trial drop-ins (i.e., if there is enough space/equipment).

We are not allowed to pass on the contact information of our course instructors to third parties for data protection purposes. Please send an email to info@hochschulsport.fu-berlin.de if you would like to contact your course instructor. Your message will then be passed on to them.

Some types of sports offer course participants the opportunity to borrow sports equipment against payment of a deposit.

This is only possible if you are signed up for a relevant course within the period for which you wish to borrow the equipment (see Terms and Conditions Sections IV.17 and IV.18 for more information).

To make an appointment to borrow equipment, please send an email to info@hochschulsport.fu-berlin.de.
